The PREDATOR-GN is an advanced isotope identifier that is easy to use with almost no training. Identifying a radiation source simply requires pressing a single button.
This powerful instrument uses a combination of three different detectors to identify 107 different radioactive materials including:
• Medical isotopes
• Industrial isotopes
• Special Nuclear Materials
Advanced signal processing electronics combine the data from all detectors to identify the source. Competing products use only one or two detectors, identify far fewer isotopes, and most often require the user to guess which library category to employ before attempting to identify unknown isotopes. The PREDATOR-GN eliminates the guesswork and delivers fast, accurate, and critical data when its needed.
In addition to material identification, the PREDATOR-GN is also a very sensitive radiation detector, allowing public safety personnel to sweep large numbers of people, packages, or vehicles to quickly detect gamma contamination or locate loose radiation sources. Once an elevated radiation reading is detected, the PREDATOR-GN can provide a true doserate reading and then identify the isotope.
The PREDATOR-GN houses a built-in Bluetooth wireless data link, that conveniently sends measurement results to a remote PC up to 300 feet away. The PREDATOR-GN is built to withstand rugged use, can be used in all weather conditions, and will endure rigorous decontamination procedures.
All radiation measurements are stored in non-volatile memory so no measurement data will be lost even when there is no power. All the PREDATOR-GN needs to operate are 3 off-the-shelf D-cell batteries. No charger or special power supply is required which means that the PREDATOR-GN is ready when you are!
