We have become known nationwide for our dedication to the highest quality calibration standards and practices. This dedication to quality has made us one of the few ISO 17025 Accredited laboratories by A2LA in the United States. This accreditation sets the standard for management and organization using a comprehensive records management system and detailed calibration certificates to provide the highest level of accuracy in reporting calibration results.
All of our three block fixed and mobile calibration labs meet the most current AASHTO T310 standards for the greatest accuracy. Our three block systems are recalibrated every five years as primary calibration reference blocks using NIST traceable devices. This method produces the most accurate calibrations possible. This is one reason our calibration services for portable nuclear density gauges have become the choice for over a thousand laboratories across the nation. Our ability to provide convenient, accurate, and affordable three block calibrations accredited by A2LA has become a trademark of Qal-Tek.
WHY THREE BLOCK CALIBRATIONS ARE BETTER
Each of the three density curves reveal distinctly unique slope characteristics that cannot be known with a single block calibration; hence the greater accuracy that is achieved with a three block calibration.
Studies by industry experts revealed high variances in NDG measurements when calibrated by the formerly accepted single block protocol. The revised AASHTO T310 standard now recommends a three-density point protocol that establishes a much more accurate calibration curve fit across all possible densities with an accuracy of ± 1 pcf (pounds per cubic foot). While there are still those who perform single block verifications and calibrations, Qal-Tek has fully adopted the higher standard 3 block protocol per the latest industry standards to deliver the highest measurement integrity possible.
Qal-Tek’s On-Site Calibration & Repair (OSCAR) service is a complete ISO17025, A2LA accredited, mobile laboratory that comes directly to your site. This flagship service minimizes downtime, provides the ultimate convenience, and may save you costs too when considering the high costs of shipping to an off-site calibration facility.
Our OSCAR trucks and technicians are also equipped to calibrate your lab test & measurement equipment so we can combine both in one visit thus saving you even more time, hassle, and additional service fees.
Qal-Tek offers special pricing for those who cannot wait until an OSCAR can arrive. Call us to see what specials we might be offering.
#3 ROUTE PICKUP
Qal-Tek performs weekly pickup service for companies located relatively close to one of our fixed labs. Call to see if a route might be available for you.
#4 DROP OFF
Qal-Tek welcomes anyone to drop off their gauges at one of our fixed or mobile labs. We are all about helping you save money and time.
LABORATORY MEASUREMENT & TEST EQUIPMENT
Part of Qal-Tek’s comprehensive technical capability includes calibrating and repairing your laboratory measurement & test equipment. Our technicians can be independently dispatched directly from each of our fixed operating facilities or scheduled in conjunction with our mobile OSCAR trucks while calibrating nuclear density gauges.
Qal-Tek’s work conforms to A2LA standards and our prices are very competitive, so call us at 208-523-5557 to schedule your materials testing laboratory equipment calibration.
mEyeCal is a custom designed, online instrument tracking program that provides a complete management system for all of your instruments and devices. Since it’s cloud-based, it’s available anytime and anywhere you and your staff have access to the internet.
The system works with all types of equipment including nuclear gauges, radiation detection instruments, materials testing laboratory equipment, or any other device where tracking is important. It conveniently keeps track of your serial numbers, calibration dates, calibration certificates, leak test results, manuals, procedures or other pertinent information relative to each instrument you have in your inventory.
The system outputs reports so you can see what equipment is coming due for calibration so you never get behind or fall out of calibration. When equipment is calibrated by Qal-Tek, we automatically attach the calibration and leak test certificates in the system so you don’t have to. We use the same system throughout our company to track thousands of instruments that come in for calibration so it’s a proven and time tested system that works. You’ll never be caught unprepared for an inspection with all data required for compliance and readiness at the tip of your fingers.
